The Orange Democratic Movement has announced its plans ahead of the upcoming Special Delegates Convention.
In a statement on Thursday, March 19, 2026, ODM announced that the National Delegates Convention meeting will be held along Nong Road.
In a statement signed by ODM Deputy Secretary General Catherine Omayo, the Party announced that all delegates were duly informed of the meeting and its agenda.
“We have one week left to the event and wish to inform our members and the general public that preparations are in top gear, delegates have been duly informed of the meeting and its agenda,” ODM said.
In addition, the Key event will be held at the Jamhuri Grounds off Ngong Road in Nairobi. Similarly, the Party has maintained that it is committed to the values on which it is founded, as they prepare for the NDC.
“The venue for this event will be Jamhuri Grounds off Ngong Road in Nairobi. As a party, we are committed to the values that it is founded on, our principles are supreme and the ideology of the party continues to guide us. We shall continue to uphold these societal norms,” ODM announced.

Linda Mwanachi’s pact after NDC
As ODM members gear up for the NDC, the Saboti Member of Parliament, Caleb Amisi, who also serves as an integral member of the Edwin Sifuna-led Linda Mwananchi team, has disclosed that they will soon unveil the leadership lineup of their political formation, following the Orange Democratic Movement’s (ODM) upcoming National Delegates’ Conference (NDC).
While speaking during an interview with the Alfa House Podcast, aired on Friday, March 13, 2026, the outspoken second-term lawmaker stated that it will happen very soon after the NDC, the party’s highest decision-making organ, is convened.
He continued to state that the reason behind their waiting for this time is because they do not want their cards to be exposed too early since, according to him, when their team leader is exposed early, he can be subjected to intimidation and even extreme actions such as arrest or being kidnapped by their rivals.
“It’s good to hide your cards. You can’t expose your leader; the next minute, you will hear he has been kidnapped. We will soon give our lineup after Sifuna has called the NDC.”
He again added that it will be an open democracy where anyone who believes in their ideals is free to seek a leadership position within the formation and even challenge anybody who has been given a chance but does not seem to fit that role.
He emphasised that the NDC must be called by its secretary general, Edwin Sifuna, who was recently removed from his position and replaced by his then-deputy, Catherine Omanyo, the Busia Woman Representative, for it to be legal.
He also warned against plans to mobilise goons to disrupt the NDC, saying that should they do so, their efforts will be met with equal measure.
